The interdisciplinary Vorkurs of the Bauhaus workshop unleashed a plentitude of creativity and artistic intuition by uniting students and professionals from a wide range of arts and crafts in a joint artistic project.
Following this example, we would like to invite projects from the visual arts, the performing arts, and the applied arts, as well as projects from the field of media production to join us in a unique artistic research:
How can Internet and television be utilized as an experimental platform for new artistic formats in the spirit of the Bauhaus workshop?
Each entry is called to contribute unique stylistic elements to challenge traditional media formats.
In the course of the year 2009, bauhausTV will foster both conceptual and geographical connections between the final participating projects by presenting and documenting them on www.bauhaustv.org .
Rules for entry:
- Proposals must be original. You must have the copyright for the works you propose.
- Proposals must include name(s) of applicant(s), contact information and a list of artists.
- Work should be delivered online or on a disc via regular mail.
- There is no entry fee.
